The Hautes-Alpes department is one of the highest in France. As well as the big name ski resorts in Hautes-Alpes,such as Serre Chevalier – Briançon/Chantemerle/Villeneuve-la-Salle/Le Monêtier-les-Bains you have a multitude of small and family friendly places like Les Orres, Réallon, Crevoux, Ceillac and more.The largest ski resorts offer up to 400 kilometres of slopes (Via Lattea – Sestriere/Sauze d’Oulx/San Sicario/Claviere/Montgenèvre). The highest ski resorts for skiing in Hautes-Alpes extend up to 3,534 metres (La Grave – La Meije).For those who are not sport-minded, there are many typical villages to discover: Saint-Véran, Embrun, Mont-Dauphin, etc. The department has a fabulous heritage and some of the most beautiful treasures of sacred art in France.
Les Orres ski resort is located above Lac Serre Poncon in the Ecrins National Park region of the Hautes-Alpes. The ski area consists of 35 varied level slopes over 100 km between 1,650 and 2,720 meters.
