Our team of agents in the Alps offer an unrivalled mixture of expertise and on-the-ground knowledge.

We have a large and diverse portfolio of properties to choose from, with something for every budget – from city apartments to luxury villas and from lakeside houses to ski in/ski out chalets. Our listings include properties in all the popular ski resorts, as well as those based in key locations around the lakes and valleys.
We have specific expertise in the new-build (VEFA) sector within the Alps, which is particularly popular with both domestic and international buyers.

You will find that many of our properties have videos, virtual tours, and floorplans. In addition, our agents are used to conducting virtual visits and working closely with “at distance” buyers.

Once you have found a suitable property, and had your offer accepted, we have a multilingual in-house contracts team that will work with your local agent to ensure that your purchase passes quickly and efficiently. We are well-versed in helping buyers sign contracts electronically and were one of the first estate agencies in France to utilise these.

If you are looking to rent your property out, we are able to recommend trusted local rental agencies, in addition to the services offered by our sister company Leggett Property Management. We also work closely with wealth managers, lawyers, notaires, accountants, mortgage brokers and currency experts.

What is a mandat de recherche and
why is it important in this market ?

Not all our listings are publicly available on our website, some vendors prefer us to discreetly place their properties with our database of buyers.

If, having spoken with our team, we still don’t have a suitable property then you can give us a mandat de recherche.

This costs you nothing and allows us to scour the local market on your behalf – including properties listed for sale privately or with other agencies.
We have found that this is an increasingly popular tool in a buyer’s armoury, as well-positioned property for sale in the resorts has been difficult to find - particularly for international buyers who are not present in the Alps.
We search to a tightly honed criteria, the better the brief the more chance of success.
Buyers are protected by the same French real estate laws (Hoquet and Alur) and fees are always outlined in writing before the search begins, they are also only payable if the search is successful, and the Notarial deeds are signed.

The mandate is usually exclusive to Leggett and will include:

· The identity of both the buyer and the estate agency
· A description of the property sought
· The price range of your search
· The agreed fees
· The duration of the mandate
