Savoie - Maurienne Valley - La Norma, Orelle, Saint Sorlin d’Arves - Sybelles

Welcome to the Maurienne valley. The lesser known valley of Savoie that has a real punch when it comes to outstanding opportunities/variety for snowsports activity, mountain sports and outright inspiring scenery. We (and I say "we", as this is my home) can ski any kind of terrain we want through all the normal months of the winter, with access to the 3vallees ski area for high altitude but also access to the 10+ Maurienne resorts each having unique charm and thrill seeking terrain...but also the traditional village "chocolate box" setting. By summer we are known for our unspoilt mountain access and altitude activities. If you're a cyclist... it's a dream... be it accessing the bucket list cols or mountain biking the tree lined descents. There's a real family attitude too.. something to inspire every generation. Down mountain we have beautiful savoyard villages with traditional hearts and community spirit. The real French touch and year round. The autoroute du Maurienne means we are well connected. From the valley bottom we are only just over 1 hr from Grenoble/ Lyon/ Geneva airports so access to Paris and London is in very reasonable time, meaning for those who need to keep connected but escape at the same time and quickly disconnect... this area is a high contender.
