La Grave, the reknowned ski station feared and respected by expert skiers and boarders from all over the world... The ski area is virtually all off-piste, non-patrolled and is known in ski circles for its challenging descents that have been testing the worlds best skiers for decades. At the other end of the village is a small ski area for less experienced skiers but with plenty enough pistes for beginners.
The area is also famous for alpine climbing and as access to The Ecrin National Park. Visitors to the area are impressed with the natural beauty and the unspoilt feel to both the neighbouring villages and the mountain itself.
La Grave lies on the departmental border berween the Hautes Alpes and Isere and is no more than 40 minutes away from Serre Chevalier, Alpe D'Huez and Les Deux Alpes ski resorts. It is also at the heart of the most challenging road biking circuits in the french alps including the famous Col du Lauteret and Col du Galibier.
The nearest airport is Grenoble/Isere just 1h 30 away and Grenoble TGV is only 1 hr away.
