Jules Frost - Three Valleys - Meribel Valley

Jules Frost
Say Méribel to most people and they know where you’re talking about. Part of the Three Valleys ski area, the largest linked ski area in the world, together with Courchevel and the Belleville Valley, the wooded mountain scenery is beautiful year-round. Known primarily for its skiing and extensive number of well-groomed pistes, summer and autumn bring a colourful beauty to the valley that is also not to be missed. And you’re never far from a ski-lift in winter or a hiking trail year-round, wherever your home is situated. Villages dot the route between the principal town of Les Allues and Méribel centre, all maintaining that traditional Savoyard look to blend in seamlessly. They have each taken on a unique character; Meribel Village and Meribel Centre have a mix of beautiful chalets and discreet apartment buildings, Le Raffort is becoming an upmarket enclave of designer chalets while Les Allues and neighbouring small villages mostly maintain their original Savoyard character chalets and village houses. Further up the mountain is the newer resort of Meribel-Mottaret, which offers ski-in ski-out apartments. There’s also the opportunity to purchase old barns for renovation to your taste. If you’re looking for a Three Valleys property, Méribel is definitely the place to explore.
