Property DescriptionThis luxury one bedroom apartment is perfectly located in the village of Sainte Foy Tarentaise and an inspection is highly recommended. The interior finish has been completed to a very high standard leading out to a large balcony offering magnificent mountain views to the south west and capturing the resorts of Villaroger and La Rosiere with magnificent sun sets in the summer. Barbecues on the balcony is a must! The apartment comprises a shared principal entry vestibule with secure storage and is located on the first floor of the building. The configuration is of open luxurious spaces, a large bedroom, bath with shower and separate WC, open plan kitchen, lounge area with the possibility to sleep 4 with the use of a bed settee, dining area and a gorgeous inside-outside element through large sliding glass doors to the balcony which has a wooden privacy screen ensuring seclusion. Underfloor heating is throughout the apartment via elegant oak flooring, velux windows, a bathroom of distinction with top quality fixtures and fittings throughout. The same level of quality applies to the compact and extremely functional kitchen, and the apartment is bathed in generous light through large double-glazed windows. The bedroom is very spacious and again enhances the feeling of private luxury. The volume of the apartment generates an impression of space and relaxed comfort with a lofty vaulted beamed ceiling adding to the architectural conversation. There is generous parking adjacent to the property, and the bar, restaurants and shops are just a short stroll away. Access to seven world class ski resorts is a huge bonus with a new inter resort bus service proposed, and an inter resort super ski pass will be trialled this coming winter with professionals and will be extended to the public thereafter. To be able to live in an authentic traditional Savoyarde village is a rare opportunity so close to major ski areas is ...... just exceptional. And the range of summer activities makes this a year-round investment gem. The Tour de France passes through the village, plus it is a resting stage for many summer tourists heading to the Col de L'Iseran and beyond. We would be delighted to provide you with a personal visit to the property, and a virtual tour is available.
Pays Evian Ski Area
Pays Evian is made up of two ski stations, Bernex and Thollon les Memises. Both located just a 15 minute drive from Evian town and Lake Geneva (Lac Leman).
The larger ski resort, Les Portes du Soleil is a 40 minute drive and Geneva is under an hour.
La Plagne Ski Resort
La Plagne is one of France’s largest and most popular ski resorts. It is also extremely popular with British skiers and boarders who make up around 35% of the visitors to this great resort. With some 225 km. of piste, continual upgrading of the lift facilities and slopes for all standards of skier there is something for everybody. If this is not enough for you the amazing Vanoise Express double decker gondola link to Les Arcs opens up another 200km. of slopes.
The joint La Plagne, Les Arcs, PARADISKI ski domain is one of the world’s truly great fully linked ski areas. La Plagne is not just one resort but a collection of ski villages, 6 at high altitude and 4 further down the mountain, each with their own shops, restaurants, bars and ski schools.
At high altitude the 6 villages are; Aime La Plagne (2100m),Belle Plagne(2050m),Plagne Villages/Soleil(2050m),Plagne Bellecote(1930m),Plagne Centre(1970m) and Plagne 1800(1800m). Of these the pitched roof chalet style of Belle Plagne, Plagne Villages/Soleil and Plagne 1800 are the most attractive to British eyes. However the other three are not without their fans and offer ski in ski out convenience and some great value accommodation.
The original la Plagne, Plagne Centre, is undergoing a considerable facelift and next year work begins on the indoor shopping and restaurant areas. Lower down the mountain there are more traditional villages. Les Coches at 1450 m has been purpose built in a pleasing chalet style and recent lift improvements have transformed access to the higher slopes.
Champagny en Vanoise (1250m) and, in particular, Montchavin(1250m) and Montalbert(1350m) have retained their rustic farming charm and have a strong following amongst British clients. Between them the villages of La Plagne offer something for everyone. There are wide, cruising blue slopes for the less confident or those “hot chocolate” skiers amongst you with tough blacks and a wealth of off piste for the stronger /more adventurous skier. Boarders have not been forgotten with a variety of Terrain parks on offer.
Accommodation varies from simple, great value, ski in ski out studios and apartments to luxury new build apartments and chalets.
