The park attracts up to 800,000 visitors every year and make this part of the alps a popular summer and winter destination.   Transport to the area is possible by train in to nearby Briancon and the TGV from Paris to Oulx. Nearby airports are Turn and Grenoble. Marseilles is just 2 hr 30 away...
