It’s an enviable location for those wishing to start and finish their days skiing without going near a car or bus. It’s possible to ski back at the end of the day, snow permitting, and it’s a 20m stroll to the telecabine steps to catch that first lift. The chalet was fully renovated in 2011 and is currently being run as a catered chalet by a British tour operator. It’s an ideal size and layout to run as a business or to use as a family home. It’s 2kms from the Morzine Tourist Office and there is a free Navette bus stop 200m down the road. It’s worth noting that the recently built four bedroomed chalet next door is also for sale and the two chalets can be run jointly, as they are currently.
The chalet is constructed on three floors:
• Entrance hall
• Two double en-suite bedrooms
• Separate WC and wash basin
• Boiler/Utility Room
• Stairs to first Floor
• Stairs open into a large open plan kitchen/lounge dining area with two sets of double doors opening onto a large terrace and balcony, that in turn gives access to steps leading to the outside space and the hot tub
• Accessed by stairs from the first living/dining area
• Three double bedrooms all en-suite
The Area Morzine, unlike many purpose built ski resorts, is a vibrant town with a year round buzz. There’s a balanced mix of bars, restaurants and boutiques and town life continues whatever the season. The vast range of summer activities on offer from White Water rafting on the river Dranse towards Thonon, to Paragliding above the local mountains keep even the most adventurous families entertained and the area is a huge magnet for cyclists – The roadies love the famous Tour de France ‘Cols’ and mountain bikers flock to take on the extreme challenges that await them.
Lake Geneva is only a 45 minutes’ drive where it’s possible to enjoy the Riviera feeling and all the water sports that go with it. Geneva International airport is just over an hour away and with daily flights arriving from most regions of the UK all year, it’s an easy destination not just for the traditional week’s holiday, but also for short breaks and long week-ends at any time of the year.

Morzine Ski Resort
Situated mid-way between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva, the ever popular resort of Morzine is absolutely stunning, well known for its Alpine scenery, nestled between forests and summits. Life is leisurely, and the village although vibrant and bustling has lost nothing of its original charm and Savoyard way of life. Ideally situated right in the middle of the Portes du Soleil, Morzine is the gateway to a marvellous winter playground of 650 km of ski-slopes where you can ski from French into Switzerland and back again all in one day. When it comes to lunchtime you are spoilt for choice with all the mountain restaurants scattered everywhere.
In summer, these slopes become sign-posted footpaths for trekking and moutain biking. Originally life in Morzine was one of agriculture and slate-mines but with the opening of the ‘Grand Hotel’ (first tourist hotel built in the 1920’s) and its owner François Baud opened up a new opportunities for the village and it’s in habitants. Then in 1934 the Pleney cable car was opened and the thick covering of snow started some previously unknown sports: tobogganing, ski-jöring (towed behind a horse), the beginnings of downhill skiing and even ski-jumping!
If ski or snow boarding instruction is the order of the day there are avariety of French and English speaking Instructors in the ski schools.
There is a vast array of shops, bars and restaurants, offering plenty to non-skiers as well and for after ski fun. This makes Morzine a good all year round resot for those who live here and those with Holiday homes.
