Ben Farley - Ste Foy Tarentaise - La Rosiere; Espace Killy: Tignes, Val d'Isère
I have now lived in the Savoie region for 9 years. My home is in the village of Ste Foy in the Tarentaise valley. The village is situated within 20 minutes drive of some of the best ski resorts in the world with over 1000km of ski runs on our doorstep.. Val D'Isere and Tignes are just a short drive up the valley. These resorts are snow sure and have fantastic infrastructure. The local resort, Ste Foy is the most recent resort in the whole of the Alps. This is a great place for families as it has quiet, well groomed pistes that are great for beginners. However it is also famous for some of the best off piste skiing in the area. Close by in Villaroger you have access to Paradiski, the combination of Les Arcs and La Plagne. While on the other side of the valley sunny La Rosiere, links to the Italian resort of La Thuile and has super skiing with glorious views. The area is accessible from Lyon, Geneva and Chambery airports and also the train to Bourg St Maurice which is only a twenty minute drive.
